For a quick reference guide to mitigation timings, please see our new at-a-glance guide. It can be found on the Mitigation TImings Guide page.
22nd March - GCN mitigation
We have been working on another site in the South West, this time on the Somerset coast, undertaking GCN mitigation works. We have installed temporary fencing to trap amphibians, we have translocated suitable pond material to a nearby receptor site and have built hibernacula to provide habitat for the GCNs.
13th March 2012 - flood defence works
We have been working in the South West to aid our client with their flood defence works. We have installed reptile fencing to help trap reptiles including slow worms and grass snakes. We have undertaken areas of vegetation clearance, and are covering many of the hedges on site with netting to prevent birds from nesting in them whilst the works are in progress.

The reason is most likely due to loss of suitable habitat, such as the decline in flower-rich grassland as well as the mismanagement of some woodland.
1st February 2012 ~ office move
We have moved offices to accommodate company growth. Our address in the Surrey Research Park remains the same as we have only moved upstairs, but we now have much more space, better facilities and great views over ancient woodland and two large ponds.
6th January 2012 ~ tree works
Our new year has kicked off with the crown lifting of trees at Beckton Sewage Treatment Works. The lower branches of the trees were cut to allow machinery and plant to pass underneath.
