In practice

The A444 is one of the busiest routes in Coventry. The remodelling of a junction was undertaken to improve traffic flow and to reduce congestion. This involved creating a new bridge over the A444, with direct access by a new slip road from the A444 towards Whitley.

In order to facilitate these works, Thomson Habitats was commissioned by Costain to advise on and supervise the treatment of Japanese knotweed and Himalayan balsam within the construction footprint.

Thomson Habitats acted as a clerk of works to supervise the Himalayan balsam and Japanese knotweed excavations
