British Trust for Conservation Volunteers. Has a number of online practical handbooks for everything from brownfield site monitoring to pond creation.

Protected site and species information for the Republic of Ireland.

The Environment and Heritage Service of Northern Ireland. Covers protected sites and species, conservation, environmental protection including pollution, abstraction and flood management issues, and links to UK, British and Irish legislation.

The Environment Agency’s website, covering issues on fisheries, the Water Framework Directive, drainage and abstraction issues and flood management in England and Wales. Links to online licence applications. The publications section has some useful information on Japanese knotweed control.

Lynvale are proud to have created a solution for Thomson Habitats. By understanding the customer’s unique requirements they were able to design and manufacture a bespoke flotation unit made from specialised black foam which is almost inert. The unique property of the black foam ensured that it would not react with the natural environment of the water voles, and therefore reduced disruption whilst Thomson Habitats carried out their survey.
